Functional Medicine

What is Functional Medicine?

Functional Medicine is devoted to discovering and treating the underlying causes of today’s chronic illnesses. The methods of Functional Medicine are grounded in science and take into account every aspect: environment, family history, genetics, biochemistry, and physiology. Functional Medicine addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms. Once the root cause of your suffering has been uncovered, a course to wellness can be designed.

Functional medicine is about optimizing your health and quality of life in ways you never knew were possible.

Dr Karla has changed my life. I have an autoimmune condition and was having debilitating migraines many times a month when I went to see her the first time. With her approach and treatment protocol, we are working on targeting the cause and correcting them. We are three months into treatment and the migraines have decreased 80% already. She teaches us the path and leads us to stay on track on the recovery journey. I'm very thankful.

I have never found any doctor with such a deep understanding of medicine in such different levels as she has. I've been dealing with anxiety and sleep problems for years and since working with Dr. Karla, I've been sleeping very well for over 2 months without the help of pills. My anxiety levels are still on the lowest they've ever been. I highly recommend Dr. Karla!
